Abstract
Keyword: Sociolinguistic, Code-Switching, Code-Mixing, Buka Kartu Maudy Ayunda This research was conducted to analyze Types of code-switching and codemixing used by Maudy Ayunda and Putri Tanjung on the Maudy Ayunda Podcast, and factor causing of code-switching and code-mixing in Maudy Ayunda and Putri Tanjung on the Maudy Ayunda Podcast. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design. The data comes from the words of the speakers in the podcast which are transformed into written transcripts. Researchers collect data by downloading videos, then checking while watching videos. He also reduced the data by selecting only those utterances that contained the types of code-switching and code-mixing, highlighting and marking them too. Finally, data can be analyzed. The results of this study state that 46 code-switching are identified as types of code-switching in the podcast part 1 which consists of 5 inter-sentential switchings, then found 12 intra-sentential, and the code-switching tag is zero data in this podcast. Furthermore, for part 2, 4 inter-sentential switchings were found, then 23 intra-sentential switchings were identified, and at least 2 switching tags were found. In addition, there were also 33 code-mixing identified as types of code-mixing in the podcast. For part 1, 8 insertion code-mixing was found, then 1 type of alternation code-mixing was found, and finally, there were 15 congruent lexical ( dialect ). In addition, it is also found in podcast part 2, namely 2 insertion codemixing. Then identified 1 alternation, and finally identified 6 congruent lexial. the dominant type of code used in Maudy Ayunda's podcast is code-switching. The type of code-switching used by speakers is intra-sentential code-switching, while the type of code-mixing that is often used is congruent lexical code-mixing. Then there is the inter-sentence code-switching, and the least is the alternating code mixing used in the video. The researcher suggests that there is potential for future researchers to explore code switching and code mixing, especially the types of code-switching and codemixing. The researcher hopes that further researchers can use other media besides podcasts to increase knowledge about the types of code-switching and code-mixing. The researcher also suggests to teachers and students in the teaching and learning process to increase their knowledge about the types of code-switching and codemixing and the factors that cause code-switching and code-mixing in a podcast.
