Abstract

Keyword: Attitude, Online learning, Offline Learning The condition in COVID-19 pandemic forced all educational institutions change the learning system from offline to online or from online to offline. Therefore, the students‟ attitude was one of the determining factors to assessed two learning environment. The objectives of this research are: 1. To find out the attitude of the students toward the transformation of online to offline learning in EFL classroom. 2. To examine the effectiveness of online and offline learning in EFL classroom. Accordingly, to answers a research question, it was used attitude scale and quiz score both online and offline. This is a descriptive quantitative study by used a survey methodology. Questionnaires used in this study is COMPLEQ as instrument to determain students attitudes in online and offline learning, while students quiz is to investigate the effectivenes of two learning environment. The instrument was tested with validity and reliability by SPSS 16. The population was students in the 10 graders of SMK NU 1 Karanggeneng which was chosen purposively. respondents consisted of 39 students. The result of the study showed, that the students attitude toward the transformation of online to offline learning can be devided into three, based on three scale category: enjoyment, academic efficacy, and anxiety. The students enjoyed offline learning more that online learning (2,82 > 2,42), the students academic efficacy was higher in online learning than offline learning (2,55 > 2,49), and the students anxiety level in offline learning is lower than online learning (2,31 > 2,29). In addition, the offline learning is more effective than online learning (91,92 > 81,73).
