Fudla Ni’matin, Dina. 2024. 20033004. The Correlation between Students’ Reading Habit and Writing Achievement of the Eleventh Graders at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro. Thesis. Faculty of Teaching and Training Education of English Department Islamic University of Darul Ulum Lamongan. Advisor (1) Daniar Sofeny, M.Pd., Advisor (2) Buyun Khulel, M.Pd. Keywords: correlation, reading habit, writing achievement Reading habits among students are still very minimal, especially reading English language literature. They will do this when they have assignments from school only. It happened to the eleventh graders at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro. This study was conducted to achieve some objectives, such as 1) To investigate the reading habit of the eleventh graders, 2) To investigate the writing achievement of the eleventh graders, 3) To find out whether there is any correlation between students’ reading habit and writing achievement of the eleventh graders at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro. The type of research carried out by this researcher is field research. The respondents of the study are 85 students of the eleventh grade at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro chosen by using simple random sampling. Data collection methods used in this study are documentation and questionnaire. Data analysis technique used in this research is correlational analysis. The results of this study are 1) The reading habit of the eleventh graders at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro is relatively high, 2) Writing achievement of the eleventh graders at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro was relatively high, 3) There is correlation between students’ reading habit and their writing achievement of the eleventh graders at MA Islamiyah Attanwir Talun Sumberrejo Bojonegoro. The writer suggests to English teachers to frequently invite all students to get used to reading English literature. This is considered to influence their writing skills by reading frequently and understanding the meaning and writing of the words they read. The school can facilitate students by providing English literature for them to read in the school library.
