Abstract
This study explores the movie "3 Idiots" as a potential learnig tool within this curriculum framework. The research investigates how the movie’s depiction of conflicts aligns with the Profile of Pancasila Students an essential component of the Merdeka Curriculum and assesses its applicability in enhancing English language instruction. The study addresses two main research questions: (1) What are the conflicts found in the movie "3 Idiots"? and (2) How can the movie be recommended as learnig tool? Utilizing qualitative descriptive methods. This research uses qualitative descriptive research design. This data comes from dialogue with the main character which is converted into a written transcript. Researchers collect data by: download the video, then check it while watching the movie. He also reduced the data. by selecting only conflicting utterances that contain dimensions of the Pancasila student profile highlight and mark them as well. Finally, the data can be analyzed The research results show that the movie 3 Idiots can be used in learning English in high school classes. At the end of the advanced Phase F, participants are taught to use spoken, written and visual texts in English to communicate according to the situation, purpose and target audience/reader in various types of narrative, exposition, discussion, literary texts, authentic texts and /or multitext on a variety of topics including social issues and cultural contexts. The movie learning medium in this case is a movie entitled 3 Idiots. Students can look for information in the movie 3 Idiots related to the conflict contained in it. Students can look for conflict by listening to conversations between characters in the movie 3 Idiots. In this case, students can find conflicts that contain the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The research suggests to next research, maximize the educational potential of the movie "3 Idiots" in English language teaching, future research should focus on several key areas. Conduct a detailed analysis of the movie's conflicts, categorizing internal and external struggles to understand their narrative significance and potential for educational use. Integrate these conflicts into English language lessons through targeted activities such as debates and role-plays, aligning with the Profile of Pancasila Students and the Merdeka Curriculum.
