Abstract

This article analyzes the relationship between monetary and fiscal policies in influencing economic growth using a literature review approach. In the context of macroeconomics, both monetary and fiscal policies play a crucial role, but their implementation often encounters mismatches. Several studies suggest that the synergy between these two policies can accelerate economic growth, especially in times when stimulus is needed. On the other hand, conflicts between restrictive monetary policies and expansive fiscal policies can increase uncertainty and worsen economic conditions. This article reviews various studies on the interaction of these policies, both in developed and developing countries, focusing on their impact on inflation, unemployment, and economic stability. The findings from this literature review highlight the importance of coordination between central banks and governments to ensure the effectiveness of both monetary and fiscal policies in achieving sustainable economic growth. This research provides insights into how economic policies should be designed to avoid conflicts and maximize synergy in supporting economic growth.
