Abstract

Globalization has had a significant impact on international monetary policy, particularly in developing countries. This article examines the impact of globalization on monetary policy in these countries, which are increasingly connected to the global economy through trade flows, investment, and capital mobility. Globalization opens up opportunities for developing countries to access international markets, but also increases their vulnerability to global economic fluctuations, such as interest rate changes, financial crises, and currency instability. This paper identifies the main challenges that developing countries face in formulating effective monetary policies, including managing inflation, exchange rates, and economic stability. In addition, this article highlights the role of international institutions such as the IMF in influencing the monetary policies of developing countries, which are often forced to adapt to those of developed countries. Using a case study approach, this article shows that developing countries need to develop more flexible and adaptive monetary policies to cope with the negative impacts of globalization without sacrificing domestic economic stability
