Abstract

Inflation and unemployment are interconnected economic issues that significantly impact societal welfare and the economic stability of a country. Monetary and fiscal policies are two main instruments used by governments and central banks to control inflation and reduce unemployment rates. Monetary policy, managed by the central bank, involves regulating interest rates and money supply to maintain price stability and encourage economic growth. Inflation control through monetary policy can help stabilize currency value and maintain purchasing power. On the other hand, fiscal policy, implemented by the government, includes regulating national spending and tax revenues to increase employment and stimulate economic activity. By increasing government spending, fiscal policy can boost aggregate demand, creating new job opportunities and reducing unemployment. While both policies play important roles, their effectiveness is influenced by various external factors and global economic conditions. This study aims to analyze the role of monetary and fiscal policies in controlling inflation and unemployment, and to evaluate the challenges in implementing these policies to achieve sustainable economic stability.
