Abstract
Monetary policy is one of the main instruments in managing the economy, especially in developing countries which face various structural challenges and global economic volatility. This research aims to analyze the role of monetary policy in encouraging economic growth in developing countries by considering the effectiveness of policy instruments, such as interest rates, open market operations and mandatory reserves. Effective monetary policy can help control inflation, maintain exchange rate stability, and create a conducive environment for investment and economic growth. However, developing countries often face obstacles, such as dependence on the primary sector, limited resources, and global financial market instability, which hinder the effectiveness of monetary policy in the long term. Through a descriptiveanalytical approach with secondary data from central bank reports and international institutions, this research finds that monetary policy that is consistent and coordinated with fiscal policy can increase economic resilience and support sustainable growth. These findings provide important recommendations for policy makers in designing monetary policies that are adaptive to global economic dynamics and capable of supporting inclusive economic growth in developing countries.
